Thank you for your interest in donating items for us to auction on eBay as we further seek to advance Classical Christian education in Memphis, at Westminster Academy. When you donate items, we will list them on eBay and the school will keep all of the proceeds from the auction. You will receive a letter (or amended letter including this and other donations throughout the year) for the value of the item you donate based on what we receive via eBay. Our expectation is that you are giving Westminster Academy items to sell for which 100 percent of the proceeds go to the school.
If you have an item that is extremely valuable (more than $2,500) and want to explore options where the proceeds are shared, we will assist you in finding a venue to sell the item. You may then share the proceeds from the sale as you choose. eBay is a great marketplace for collectibles, especially rare, unique collectibles. New items always do better than used, including clothes, electronics, etc. Used items are okay, too, but only if they are in great condition, are working, etc. Please do not give items that you would simply put out at a yard sale for which you'd hope to get a couple of dollars. We are requesting items that will (potentially) sell for enough money to cover our time and expenses. The BEST way to get an idea of an item's value and/or sellability is to visit eBay, search for the item(s), and monitor those items that are similar or exact with bids/successful ends.
