This is an annual fundraiser that all Westminster Academy students participate in. Students are asked to get sponsors from their family, friends, and neighbors. Every week the monies collected are counted and prizes are awarded to the students raising the most money. The day of the event, every student gathers in the gym to run fun, age appropriate laps.
Corporate Sponsorships are solicited to underwrite the cost of the event so that all monies raised by the children go directly to support Westminster Academy including the following:
- Maintaining small class size, a cornerstone of our method of education.
- Keeping tuition and fees affordable and providing assistance to families who need it.
- Providing significant, excellent, and continual teacher training in the Classical Christian pedagogy.
- Being in a position to identify, recruit, hire and retain the faculty necessary to fulfill the requirements of a strong Classical Christian Education.
- Compensating faculty, staff, and administration in a manner that reflects their expertise and dedication.
- Giving us the resources to improve our understanding of Classical Christian Education and the ability to pass that understanding along to faculty, parents and administration.
- Providing for the material needs of the school including faculty compensation and professional development, and upgraded technology, curriculum, and classroom needs.
