Welcome to Westminster Academy's website and to Memphis’s only Classical Christian School.
For many of you, Westminster Academy may be your first introduction to a Classical and Christian education. As you read the information on this site, we believe that you will find that our approach to education is thoughtful, purposeful and different from most schools. After reviewing this information and visiting our school you may find yourself saying what many say, “This is the education I wish I had."
Through an emphasis on a Socratic and dialectic approach to teaching and an emphasis on the great works of Western Civilization, Westminster Academy students are graduated with the ability to think and to think rightly. Latin instruction (See Why Latin?) begins in 2nd grade, formal Logic (See Why Logic?) in 7th and formal Rhetoric in the 10th (See Why Rhetoric?) combine to help build the skills needed to succeed in rigorous college programs and more importantly, to understand and defend those things that are good, true, and beautiful.

With Lower School classes limited to only 16 students and Upper School classes to 18, Westminster Academy offers an unprecedented environment for faculty to know each student personally and to challenge them to reach his or her greatest potential in a supportive and encouraging atmosphere.

Since it was founded in 1996, this Memphis based school has acquired its accreditation and grown to over 360 students in grades kindergarten through the twelfth grade.
