Westminster students who were selected to the All-West Honor Choir. L-R: Houston Newsome, Anna Funes, Elizabeth Ann Hickman, Sally Walker, Christley Vaughn, Hanna Newsome, Lizzy Jorgensen, and Max GustafsonWestminster Academy seeks to be an instrument that God may use to bring about educational and cultural restoration to society. With an emphasis on the truth of God’s revelation and the tradition of great thoughts of civilization, we have set it as our goal to cultivate wisdom and virtue in the souls of our students, in order that they may love that which is worth loving.

Westminster Academy believes that, according to Scripture, every child’s parents are the primary educators and ultimately bear the educational responsibility of their children. We serve as a tool to assist the parents in raising their children in the “discipline and instruction of the Lord.” (Eph. 6:4) The Christian school exists as the medium which parents have chosen to enlist in partnership to fulfill this responsibility.

Westminster seeks out gifted individuals who have a passion for God, for teaching, for children, for their subject, and for the classical Christian method. Because of the particular requirements of our model of education, every member of our faculty is involved in continuous training.
